Lots of Blue in Mazar-e Sharif

Mazar-e Sharif is the second biggest city in Afghanistan, and is considered one of the safer ones to visit as a tourist.

I spent three nights in the city and explored the bazaar in search of local clothing like a Shalwar Kameez, hat, shoes and a scarf that I would reccommend anyone traveling in Afghanistan to have in order to blend in.

The highlight of my stay was to walk around the Shrine of Hazrat Ali, also known as the blue mosque. It was the most beautiful mosque I have ever visited, much because of the many colors and patterns of the mosaic tiles.
