The Austrian Student City of Graz

Graz is the second biggest city in Austria and one definitely worth visiting if traveling through central Europe. It is known for being the cultural and student capital, and has a lot of history to it dating back to the 15to 18th hundred, while Styria was the Austrian front against the Turkish Ottomans. From that time the city has a castle, a clock tower and most impressively the Worlds largest historical armoury hosting over 32 000 pieces of armor and weapons. Some guns being as heavy as 65 kilos, armor weighing over 40 kilos and even one of the World’s only seven original horse armors which originally used for parades only, but is today traveling around the World moat of the time to be used in exhibitions and movies, so I was lucky it was there.
The main reason of my visit though was to meet an old friend from the time when I lived in Austria, and it has been great walking around exploring both old churches as well as the new, strange looking art museum and Mur island restaurant. Having been on the road for long it was also great to take some time off to relax and catch up on old times.
